About Socratic Med
We aim to level the playing field to get into medicine.
Our vision is to create a world where every willing student has a fair chance to pursue a career in medicine.
Founded in 2020, Socratic Med is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free remote tutoring for the medical college admissions test (MCAT® ) and research opportunities to premeds around the country. We prioritize underrepresented students who show scholarly aptitude but lack social and financial capital. We provide:

Understanding of the pre-med journey
We provide insight into what it takes to be a successful pre-med through curated content designed by former pre-meds and industry professionals. We focus on two high-impact areas: MCAT® scores and research experience.
Learning efficiently to succeed
Our pre-med resources are focused on what students need to know, and nothing more. Through our MCAT® lessons and research opportunities, students can gain essential skills needed to prepare for medical school.
